Yes, effective and transparent accounts and bookkeeping plays an essential role in your business for both legal reasons and financial management. By keeping accurate accounts records, you can get a snapshot of your company’s health in the form of income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements and more.
Generally, a bookkeeper will:
- Record transactions such as income and outgoings, and post them to various accounts
- Process payments
- Conduct daily banking activities
- Produce various financial reports
- Reconcile reports to third-party records, such as bank statements
A bookkeeper records and classifies a company’s daily financial transactions such as sales, payroll, payment of bills and so on. An accountant takes the next step and analyses, reviews and interprets financial information for the company. They turn the records into reportable data that is used for decision making. Often, they are more focused on issues such as tax.
A bookkeeper handles your day-to-day tasks of recording financial transactions, including purchases, receipts, sales and payments. Many small businesses use software such as QuickBooks or Xero to keep track of their entries, debits and credits and your bookkeeper can manage the process for you.
At Willaston Field, we offer competitive prices and it’s always better from your point of view to be focused on making money, rather than tracking it! You’ll gain peace of mind from knowing your books are done correctly and that you have all the information you need to manage your finances. Outsourcing bookkeeping also keeps your overheads low, as there is no employee training, management or salary required.
We’re there when you need us and don’t confine the book-keeping service to regular office hours.
